The Dusfunctional Ensuite
When we bought our yellow house we had a very sad master bathroom. We had come from a house with a bathroom that was twice the size AND had a bathtub.
With the small footprint of this bathroom and the lack of storage, it was a fun challenge to tackle! Adding storage to small spaces can add so much amazing function to any room.
This project included swapping out the mirrored glass shower door, painting the floors with fusion mineral paint (more on that later), replacing the toilet and vanity, adding a custom storage unit in the wasted space to the right of the shower, changing out the lighting, adding a mirror to fit the space better, adding frosting to the window, and creating a beautiful live edge shelf.

Before- eww. why? no!

After- wow! Check out the awesome planked wall.

Look at that nasty shower door and wasted space!

Custom shelving is a great way to add storage to empty spaces that are awkward and weird. This shelving was made using bulk shelving panel and 1x4 boards.

Removing the blinds and frosting the windows with cling on frosting was a great way to keep privacy and make it brighter.
