Hey, I'm Katherine. I’m a Canadian mother to 5 and wife of 14 years to my best friend and soulmate. I live an empowered life and I’d like to share it with you in hopes that you find some strength or power in it for yourself. I’m not afraid to make messes or get my hands dirty and I hope you aren’t either!
My passion for design and DIY came from a desire to beautify my home and life in ways I could control. I am completely self-taught and believe everyone can learn new skills when given the right opportunity, instruction, and encouragement.
I love to share little tricks on how to save money on both products and decor for your home. As a family of 7, every saving counts! My hope is to encourage you to try new things, learn new things, and to flourish where you are at. I’m excited to share this journey with you!

Renovations
Find some of my favourite projects that I have worked on here! I love to share before and after pictures and some in between. Cost-effective renovations are my favourite way to get creative. Working with the space and in small spaces are my favourite- no walls coming down over here.
Organizing
In 2022 I completed my Professional Organizer Diploma. Organizing small spaces is my specialty but I love to take the chaos and clutter from ANY space and bring more life and less stress into that space.
Homeschooling
We are in year 3 of our homeschooling journey. 4 of our 5 kids are school-aged and it is busy, frustrating, empowering, and fulfilling, all at the same time. I’m by no means the perfect homeschool mom and we do our learning at the kitchen table and in the world.
Crafting and DIY
I love creating something from nothing. DIY and crafting are my jam. The satisfaction that comes from getting creative is such an empowering experience. Start small, gain skills and knowledge, and there’s no telling how far you can go.

Furniture Refinishing
Refinishing furniture is a great way to bring new life to old furniture. It’s also great for switching up rooms and decor. From cabinet painting to furniture, I have many tips and tricks to share with you! I’ve made all the mistakes along the way and have learned so much about what works and what doesn’t!
